Centre for Art Management and Information (MMIC) (Latvia)
The activities of the Centre for Art Management and Information – MMIC have always been linked with transnationality, innovation and creativity.
The mission of the MMIC is to organize the international scale professional art events in order to promote experimental innovative visual art projects, to strengthen the tradition of European cultural exchange and interaction; to look for experimental and innovative forms of cooperation between various groups of society fostering links and understanding between the centre and peripheral/ marginal zones in contemporary art, public space, and diverse European regions; to break down elitism in art and culture space through openness and accessibility of the culture; to raise the professionalism of artists and to promote art to the society by means of exhibitions in public space, open society and society’s integration in contemporary societal and cultural processes, to foster mobility and visibility of artists and their works on the European level.

Ectopia (Portugal)
Ectopia is a laboratory hosting artists from different backgrounds interested in exploring the intersection of art and science. It fosters the development of collaborative projects involving artists and researchers.
Ectopia provides resident artists access to the research being conducted at the Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência – a leading Portuguese biological research institute. During the residency, the artists are exposed to the research through seminars and informal discussions with the scientists, being encouraged to develop collaborative projects. In addition, the researchers are also exposed to the artists and invited to take advantage of those collaborations in their scientific projects.
The projects being developed at ectopia will be made public through regular exhibitions, lectures and publications. In addition, the development of each particular project will be documented, and will be available through the ectopia website.
We welcome expressions of interest from Portuguese and foreign artists interested in developing a residency within ectopia.

c-lab (UK)
C-LAB is an arts collective and organisation that engages with critical and contemporary amalgamations of art and science. Headed up by London-based artists,Howard Boland and Laura Cinti, it focuses on artistic explorations of meaning and idiosyncrasies involving life both organic and synthetic. C-LAB is an internationally recognised interdisciplinary art platform that generates and participates in both artistic and scientific forums. C-LAB has been invited to range of international conferences, exhibitions and continues to contribute in publications to broker discussions on the intersections of art and science.

The Finnish Bioart Society (Finland)
The Finnish Bioart Society, established May 2008 in Kilpisjärvi, is an organisation supporting, producing and creating activities around art and natural sciences, especially biology. The Finnish Bioart Society is creating public discussions about biosciences, biotechnologies and bioethics. Additionally it is the Finnish contact node in international networks of bioart and art&science. The Finnish Bioart Society respects and protects life, values sustainable development, transparency in its actions, legality, critical thinking, expertise and artistic and scientific integrity.
The Finnish Bioart Society has currently 34 members, representing different art and research fields and other expertise – bioart, theatre, film, music, video, performance art, art&science, fine arts, media art, sculpture, environmental art, design, zoology, botany, ecology, environmental sciences, animal physiology, genetics, philosophy, cultural production, art history, engineering, etc.

Estonian Academy of Arts (Estonia)
In 2006 the Estonian Academy of Arts is the only public-law university in Estonia providing higher education in art, design, architecture, media, art history and conservation. It thereby recognizes its social responsibility for organisation of study, creative, research and development activities as well as advanced training and assurance of its quality in the fields of visual culture affecting cultural space and living environment of the society. The quality of material culture, product development and living environment of the society is directly related to the quality of activities of the university.

University of Barcelona (Spain)
The University of Barcelona is the most formidable public institution of higher education in Catalonia, catering to the needs of the greatest number of students and delivering the broadest and most comprehensive offering in higher educational courses. The UB is also the principal centre of university research at a state level and has become a European benchmark for research activity, both in terms of the number of research programs it conducts and the excellence these have achieved.
Its own history closely tied to the history of Barcelona and of Catalonia, our university combines the values of tradition with its position as an institution dedicated to innovation and teaching excellence: a university that is as urban, outward-looking and cosmopolitan as the city from which it takes its name.

Kling and Bang Gallery (Iceland)
Kling and Bang Gallery was founded by 10 artists in 2003. the aim of the gallery is to allow the introduction of emerging artists into the art world, along with displays by more established artists. The gallery especially focuses on artwork that challenges the content of creative thinking and inspires the observer to use their imagination. Artists are also encouraged to work in the building creating art on the premises and working together in different art media. Since opening over 137 artists, designers, filmmakers and musicians have worked in this way in the basement of the building.
